A bot (a common nickname for software robot) is an automated tool that carries out repetitive and mundane tasks to maintain the pages of this wiki.

A bot has been authorized to perform the following function because of their associated user access rights.

• Be treated as an automated process (bot)
• Edit semi-protected pages (autoconfirmed)
• Have one's own edits automatically marked as patrolled (autopatrol)
• Not create a redirect from the old name when moving a page (suppressredirect)
• Not have minor edits to discussion pages trigger the new messages prompt (nominornewtalk)
• Use higher limits in API queries (apihighlimits)
• Use of the write API (writeapi)
